Dr. Karissa Rasmussen, D.C

Chiropractor

Dr. Rasmussen, a native of Salina, KS, began her journey toward chiropractic during her senior year of high school after interning with local chiropractors for a medical internship class. She had originally been pursuing physical therapy and had received chiropractic care her entire life but had never considered it as a career option. For Dr. Rasmussen and her family, going to the chiropractor was like going to the dentist or eye doctor—it was simply part of life. It took her by surprise when life led her to chiropractic. She describes it as a “light bulb” moment—one week before high school graduation, she made a bold and immediate decision to change her career path from physical therapy to chiropractic, completely redirecting her future and never looking back.

She attended Hutchinson Community College, earning her Associate’s Degree in Pre-Chiropractic while serving as a student ambassador. She then continued to Cleveland University-Kansas City, where she graduated cum laude with a concurrent Bachelor’s Degree in Human Biology and Doctorate of Chiropractic.

During her education, Dr. Rasmussen studied extensively under many top-rated chiropractors and developed a strong passion for lifelong learning in healthcare. Her commitment to growth led her to learn from leading professionals across the country through travel and continued training, and she remains dedicated to providing the most effective treatments for optimal patient outcomes.

Dr. Rasmussen gained clinical experience as a preceptor in a hospital-based chiropractic office in Overland Park, KS, and completed externships throughout the Kansas City community at KC Care Clinics, Duchesne Clinic, and Saint Vincent’s Clinic. She also attended Parker University in Dallas, TX, where she received certification in Animal Chiropractic and is currently working toward certification through the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association.

She has advanced training in Extremity Adjusting Techniques, Myofascial Release, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, Animal Chiropractic, Webster Technique, and Injury Rehabilitation. Her approach is highly individualized, with each treatment plan tailored to the unique needs and goals of her patients.

Through chiropractic care, Dr. Rasmussen is dedicated to helping patients achieve optimal long-term wellness by addressing the root cause of dysfunction and treating it at its source.

Dr. Rasmussen is happily married to her high school sweetheart, Matthew, and they have two Australian Shepherds, Saber and Nali. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring all that Kansas City has to offer, visiting Saturday morning farmers markets, traveling whenever she can, and attending Kansas City Mavericks hockey games each year.

She has recently rediscovered her love for reading and is frequently seen chatting with office assistant Quinn about their favorite fantasy worlds, detailed lore breakdowns, and unhinged book theories. With book talk always happening between them around the office- she is almost guaranteed to get her patients hooked on her favorite book series.

If you ask her, Dr. Rasmussen is always eager to show off her expanding LEGO Collection she keeps in her office. A kid at heart, she also enjoys visiting zoos, aquariums, and riding roller coasters whenever she gets the chance.

Dr. Conner Burt

Chiropractor

Dr. Burt is originally from the Oklahoma City area. During high school, he initially pursued a path toward engineering, developing an early appreciation for problem-solving, mechanics, and how complex systems work together. However, driven by a lifelong desire to help people, he shifted his focus to psychology shortly after graduating high school.

While discussing chiropractic care with his family’s chiropractor during a summer break from college, Dr. Burt realized he had found the profession through which he wanted to serve others. Upon returning to school, he changed his course of study and went on to graduate from Oklahoma State University with bachelor’s degrees in both Psychology and Physiology.

Although Dr. Burt had received chiropractic care throughout his life, his true appreciation for the profession deepened after sustaining a severe ankle sprain and fracture that significantly impacted his mobility and ability to run. Through chiropractic treatment and rehabilitation while attending Cleveland University-Kansas City, he was able to fully recover and regain normal function in his ankle. That experience solidified his commitment to helping others overcome injuries and pain so they can return to the activities they love.

Outside the office, Dr. Burt enjoys spending time with his wife, Taylor, their two sons, Oliver and Declan, and their two dogs — Athena, a chocolate labradoodle, and Kira, a chocolate lab. In his free time, he enjoys gaming, board games, tackling home improvement projects, and learning new skills whenever he gets the chance.

Quinn Patrick

Billing Manager

Quinn joined Gladstone Chiropractic Spine & Injury Center in 2024 and quickly became a familiar and cherished part of the office. After a year with the team, she stepped away for another eventful year of life to get married, purchase her first home, and completely transform it through a full house flip from top to bottom. She is now happily back in the office and excited to once again be part of the team she knows and loves.

She earned her degree in Kinesiology from Truman State University and enjoys staying active in her everyday life—whether that’s working out, going on walks with her energetic German Shepherd, Nala, or simply keeping up with her always-on-the-move lifestyle.

Quinn is well known around the office for her warm, welcoming presence and her effortlessly sun-kissed glow that seems to follow her year-round. She brings a bright, calming, and easygoing energy to the clinic and is someone both patients and staff are naturally drawn to.

Outside of work, Quinn can usually be found with a good book in hand, typically gravitating toward contemporary romance novels, and has recently dabbled in fantasy romance at Dr. Rasmussen’s enthusiastic suggestion. Around the office, she is also known for her love of music—especially that we play Justin Bieber for her on repeat—and her enthusiasm for helping with Dr. Rasmussen’s weekly office trivia and decorating the monthly seasonal board. She also enjoys concerts, spending time with friends and family, and planning her next beach getaway. She recently got married in October 2025 and continues to enjoy building life with her husband while settling into their newly flipped home.

Lillie Blevins

Front Desk Assistant

Lillie is a bubbly, outgoing, and friendly person who truly values human connection and making others feel welcome. Originally from Springfield, Missouri, she moved to the Kansas City area last summer in search of new experiences and a fresh environment while still staying close enough to home to remain near her mom, whom she is very close with. Lillie is excited to be working alongside Quinn, who she’s had the chance to work with before and is also lucky to call her a friend outside of work. Getting the chance to collaborate feels both comfortable and natural. She’s looking forward to teaming up again and bringing that same easy, familiar energy into the office.

Before moving to Kansas City, Lillie worked as a hairstylist for two years after earning her Cosmetology Degree from Paul Mitchell in Springfield. Although she no longer works in Cosmetology, the experience strengthened her passion for connecting with people and helping others feel their best. She is currently taking online classes through Highland Community College while exploring possible future career paths in nursing, business, or writing.

Lillie also works at a restaurant in Platte City called The Cove, where she serves on Saturday mornings. Outside of work and school, she loves spending time with friends, relaxing at home with her dog Kahlua, being outdoors, thrifting, and expressing her creativity through painting and decorating. She is also passionate about music, concerts, festivals, and road trips whenever she can find the time.

She is excited to be a part of the team and looks forward to meeting clients, building connections, and contributing to a welcoming and positive environment in the office.
